Artist's Comments

This tutorial refers to the stars used in my deviation Siamese Moons

Basically what you can do with this tutorial is make a stary sky for landscape pictures or perhaps deepspace renders and what not.

I hope it is useful.

The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that, deep inside everyone believes they are above average drivers
:icondestron:

it's wierd in the sense that i have never seen anyone make stars that way before... it's not the easiest way to make them... also you cannot really see the stars in the demo image at the top of the tut.

no, that's not the point about it being easy - - the wave filter is dang hard to use, and its hard to get it to what you want - it's like a randomization filter. and even if you give them the exact settings, it will always be different on every machine and every version of photoshop. i just think it would be easier to use the noise filter, and even the stars out with brightness/contrast

You mean render some black and white clouds? - because I just tried that, and it doesn't really give me the same nuances and satisfaction

the good thing about the wave filter is that it doesn't give you the same thing twice, and the randomize button lets you try a few times .. just Undo and run the filter again .. (oh and why aren't you replying to my comments? - it would make it so much easier for others to read our "convo" here heh ;) )

well, you can have your way to do stars, and i have my way, both which work fine, lets just leave it that way. :)
no hard feelings.
